ooops.. missed that.
I got it at Wolf Camera in Chicago. I got the camera body, 25-70mm lens, memory card and case for 1,100 . Also got a free printer /CD printer at no charge.
I probably could have done a tad better on pricing on the internet but to save $50- wouldn't have been worth it. I got to use it for an hour before buying it so I really pushed it....
It was nice to test the Canon 20D against the Nikon D70. For my hand, I was able to reach all the back panel controls easier with my hand then the Canon 20D. The Cannon 20D was 1,399 w/ a 50mm lens, no case and no memory card. Don't get me wrong, the 20D is incredible and well worth it's premium price, but reformatting 8Meg images, and the fact that the D70 had better manual controls pushed me over the top.
I suggest if your in the market, to take a test drive with it and see what you think. In manual mode it's not for a novice by any means, but I own a Pentex K1000 (all manual) SLR and the Nikon felt more like it then the Canon. The one other observation I have which is very important is balance of weight. With a bigger lens, the Canon balance is off, the nose drops and it requires more effort to balance the camera. The Nikon did a better job of balancing a 70mm lens.
