Radiohead and Coldplay fans might like this

Was just on Wikipedia reading about the Talking Heads (one of my favs, older brother influence) and linked to Radiohead who are named after a Talking Heads song. Anywho, this was in the Radiohead wiki and I got a good laugh

"Although Radiohead is not Britpop style band, many believe that their seminal albums - OK Computer and The Bends has been particularly influential on contemporary bands, like Athlete, Coldplay, Keane, Muse and Travis. However, it has become clear that the band isn't so keen on the new generation of Britpop musicians, inspired by Radiohead's work though they may be, and when asked in 2001 by The New Yorker: "How do you guys feel about the fact that bands like Travis, Coldplay, and Muse are making a career sounding exactly like your records did in 1997?", Yorke replied with his usual wry wit: "Good luck with Kid A." Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin, who frequently said that Radiohead has had a strong influence on his band as well as Thom Yorke is a cult figure to him and huge inspiration to his songwriting and musical development, recently spoke to a reporter: "We're like an eager dog just yapping around their heels, and they're trying to kick us away" he joked. "It's like unrequited love. I'm in love with a lot of things. Some of those things
love me back. And some of them don't ? and one of them is Radiohead."

Yorke's OK Computer statement and martin's statement had me grinning
