D70 is a great high end consumer camera ... pro's use the 20d

Just kidding..

Either are great. I think though when you spending that kind of money on a camera that will be used a lot..sturdiness and construction quality really become important. The 20d definately wins that one hands down. My decision was also influenced on the high iso ability 1600 and 3200..as well as the high fps count. If I know my daughter is about to jump off the side of the pool into the water.. I start capturing the millisecond she leaves the ground and don't stop till she hits the water... I'm pretty assured of getting a decent shot that way if I've focused/exposed correctly...

Like I said though..either is a great camera... moving to a digital SLR definately takes your photography to a different level.

Edit: Oh..and I dont' give a rats *** what the guy said in his article... I had a 300d which is 6.3 mpix or so... and moving to the 20d at 8.x mpix definately gave me more more latitude in how I crop a photo which I find extremely important. I can crop it much more severely and still have enough resolution to provide an excellent quality print.
