NETHERLANDS: Will provide teams for inspecting dykes and for identifying victims if there is a formal request from the United States. It will also send a frigate from Curacao to New Orleans shortly to provide emergency assistance, the government said.
When the people of the Netherlands were polled most said that the country shouldn't send relief (it was felt that the US has plenty of money). I am glad they decided to offer some support. What is not noted here, however, is that their levee system is far superior to the one that was in place in NO. I hope we do take up their offers for support, especially if it's decided to rebuild the city.

It's pretty amazing what is being offered, considering that other countries' popular opinion of the US is pretty low. Although for many, it might be purely political (as I have expressed elsewhere), but I'd like to think that for the most part people just want to help others.

Thanks RK for sharing. It's uplifting news.
