I picked up the Canon Rebel XT a couple weeks ago and have to say it is outstanding. I think it would be hard to find a better deal for the same quality right now. The kit lens that you get isn't the best but will produce great output. Plus, the camera will accept the lenses from your non digital Canon SLR (this is what sold it for me). Great overall camera.
