yeah rotors are somewhat more time consuming than pads, pads you just like undo a bolt for the caliper, swing it up, take out old pad put in new one...at least that's how it is on my integra. the rotors were a little different. had to take the caliper off and use a punch and hammer to get the phillips head screws loose and i think there was something else...i cant remember if the axle had to come out too or not, that would take a good 30 some more minutes just to get that freakin nut off.

and yeah, we take our cars to the same guy everytime now. im surprised he even gives us prices for stuff because we never let them do it. and those shops give you those rates because they can. my ex-gf pays them all sorts of cash to do stuff because she hasnt any clue how. $26 to replace a light bulb, lol. forgot how much they charged for her axle, like some obscene amount, $500 or something.

lol, my friend had a cracked radiator, they wanted $600 for that. the price breakdown was something like $200 for the radiator, $100 for pipes and the rest labor. yeah, it takes $300 worth of labor to drain a radiator, take off like 3 bolts and the take off the coolant pipes...my ***. i'll never take my **** to a shop.
