Disk Boot Error problem

Ok I have a problem with my pc. I got some new RAM(a stick of 512 DDR PC2100) and installed it. Now when I boot my pc it gives me a Disk Boot Error please insert system disk. Ive tried taking out the new ram and it still gives me the same error as well as moving the sticks in different slots. In order to boot up my PC now I have to have the system CD in the drive. Other than that it works fine and boots up normal and it registers the new Ram. Ive checked my BIOS and the boot order is Floppy, HDD, CD. Ive tried scandisk but it comes up with nothing. Im kinda worried about my pc's health now. Any Ideas on whats causing this?

My PC stats

AMD Athlon 1800+
Windows XP
Radeon 9550 256MB
768MBs of DDR Ram
90 gig harddrive
