to get more oil out of the sucker when draining, turn the engine over a couple of times
i do it 3 or 4 times, no more
no oil coating the cylinder walls... don't want to push it
i change the oil in my bike every 500Km
excessive?, yeah
but for the cost of 1.5L of oil, why not?
where i drive mine on dirt roads, it sure don't hurt
watch your torque when scewing on oil pan plugs, too
most people over-torque them like crazy and end up stripping the threads (and this is THE epitome of "pain in the ***")
previous owner prolly butchered that plug with a crescent wrench
they should be shot.
