i found the towing thing...in my logs it showed that if you are over tech lvl 10 OR you have a ship in storage, you get towed outta sector 1. i guess thats in place to keep someone from swapping to a weak ship in order to hide in sector 1.
just gotta remember to pick up your ship quickly else you get screwed. =/
