The meds have really helped, but, all the guys and gals at work have watched me take my BP through out the day, and they have started asking me to take theirs. I was an EMT/Fireman for over 15 years, so I know how to take a BP.... I have an Automated Wrist Cuff, and another that is an Automated Arm Cuff, as well as a manual cuff and steth... All 3 read within 1 to 2 points of each other. I spent the last 2 days taking BP's of all the folks within 40' of my cube, and found 98% have high blood pressure! The strange thing is, we all have different stress levels, ages, life styles and more. All of us have had medical problems from colds to worse, including 1 heart attack and one un-explained sudden death within the past 18 months! We have 3 young marathon runners, and even they had very high readings. My boss thought it was all BS, and had me take his 3 times today, and his was 143/94 average, with a pulse of 57. He is very active, and fit as a fiddle! He called HR to let them know something is up! I have blood tests on Monday, and I will let my Doc know what we have found... Then, I might have to call OSHA...
