I understand the desires for the changes, but keep in mind that everything you change creates a balance issue elsewhere.
You can change what ever you want, but it seems to me that all the changes are just trying the make the game into a large $ fast game. If I were to suggest anything I would say cut the turns down to 5000 total, and reduce how many you get every tick.
But that is just me, I don't have time to play every day to burn my turns and keep up.
