Dyna, Jetta is a 20 something SWF car. The Passat is ok, but I know guys who do extended warranty contracts and VW ain't one of the manufacturers they recommend for buying used.

You'll have to have the entire car reviewed in the US. Asbestos breaks, catalytic convertor, everything. By the time your done, it may not be such a good deal anymore.
