AMD vs. Intel with nVidia GPUs

So, I decided to run a bunch of the 3Dmark tests on all the different PCs I have at the house.

I ran tests on AMD A64 Single and Dual Core CPUs, and the Intel C2D E4300 CPU. Each system's specs are listed with the PC specs, including which graphics card I have in it, and if the test was run on XP SP2, or Vista 32 bit Home Premium. You will notice that some CPU scores are missing in a few of the tests for the AMD A64 3200+ system, including the tests that I ran with the ATI 1650Pro Video Card. I didn't record those before taking that PC apart to install the Intel C2D combo.

The strangest thing is that on some tests the Intel C2D walked all over the rest, and in some tests it was the slowest.

UPDATE 3-11.07: I decided to upgrade the RAM on the Intel C2D Setup to DDR2, and, I swapped out the video card for an nVidia 7800GS OC Card. It was the fastest AGP Video card for under $200 US that I could find in a retail store today.

I added 2 more benchmarks and changed the format of the graphs. In this set, the Green bar is the BEST result and the red bar is the WORST result.

What a change.
