I gotta be jealous myself, DMW. It's been over ten years now since I had my last bike - a Yamaha 650 twin-V. It wasn't a Harley, but it did sound like a motorcycle and not a rice-burning sewing machine.
I've gone the other way during these years...puttin' all my $ into my computers. ...and, yeah, that $4K sure came in handy: I just wish I had been a little luckier and it had come a little closer to the UT3 release date, like right when the demo is released; I wasn't planning on upgrading quite this soon. However, when the cash came in, I knew I had to do the upgrade now - if I didn't, I'd nickel and dime it away by the time the demo came out...if ya know what I mean.

And, yes, I think Chem and I will do fine. Chem, I like the fact that you are opinionated and can back it up. I like to think I am and can too. Today we haven't really disagreed; we have just approached the issues from somewhat different directions. I like that.
