I got the following email from Hawk today:

thought I would let you know that I checked out the balance and found a (-17.95) balance there. Decided to go ahead and pull us out of the hole.
Deposited $125.65. That should cover the negative plus six months.

kewl then.

To which I replied:

JezzzusChrist on a crutch, Hawk. That was way overboard. Mucho appreciated, but way overboard.

However, for future reference, the balance shown is the amount we OWE them. A zero balance means we are current; a plus balance means we owe them money (and the server has probly been disabled...hasn't happened so far); a minus balance means we are paid ahead. The -17.95 was there because Reckless sent that in a couple of days ago. If you go look now, you will see that the balance is now -$143.60.

Soooo ... the server is now paid up until January 21, 2008 --- if I counted it up on my fingers correctly.

Ok, that last paragraph of my reply probly shouldn't have been in the email to him, but rather should have been this paragraph ... I was already thinking in terms of posting the email here.

Anyway, now you should all understand how the $ thing is shown and what it means if/when you go to the server ClanPay webpage.

Hopefully, the $17.95 that Hawk "overpaid" due to misunderstanding what the numbers meant won't cause him to go hungry.
