Hint/suggestion/possible solution/whatever...
I grabbed one of the other pics in S6's link that was proportioned better (wider than it is tall) for my widescreen monitor and tried just having the Windoze wallpaper utility stretch it to full screen. It pixelated too badly to look good. However, I prefer to not have my wallpaper pic cover the entire screen - I like a (rather) large border (black background) around the pic because I don't like my desktop icons on top of the pic. With the icon on top of the pic, either the icons cover up something in the pic I don't want covered or one or more of the icon pics (or icon text) blends into the pic so I can't see/read it. Thus, I make the wallpaper pic smaller than full screen and place the icons around it.
Doubling the size of these pics does not degrade them too badly and makes them big enough for decent wallpaper on a large monitor, when used as described above.
