Haiku Deletion Warning
From the rules at the top of the Deviant Haiku thread (read them in full for better context):
Quote:

If submitted haiku is not valid it will be deleted.

There are a few poems in the Deviant Haiku thread that are not Deviant Haiku, due to meter violations, and are therefore subject to deletion. Since we're new to each other, to some extent, and therefore the inherent humor in being a hardass about Deviant Haiku might be misinterpreted, this post is just a friendly warning that in a day or two I'm going to go through the thread and delete every post that doesn't meet the thread's rules.
While I'm very flexible about what constitutes violent/politically incorrect/disturbing *, I'm almost completely inflexible about meter. Meter is part of the challenge of the thread, so not enforcing it ruins the thread.
SO, if you've posted a poem to the Deviant Haiku thread recently you might want to go back and double check your syllable counts. Well, you might want to do this if you don't want your post deleted.
* The fourth qualification, "Deviant", is only attainable by members of {DvT}. That's the qualification all of us use, the other three are there so that others can participate.
