I'm considering a 3rd party CPU cooler for my Intel Core 2 DUO E6420 LGA 775.

Any suggestions, information, or discussions would be appreciated.

I have a Thermaltake copper fin with fan speed controller on my existing P4, 2.2, socket 478. Was a b!tch to get the thing mounted and working right, but really helped cool things down. The stock fan just wasn't cutting it in my opinion.

I'm not an OCer, but still wondering if I should do something similar on my new CPU???
