I discovered there was an active club a half mile (as the crow flies) from my house Smiley. It's at the Jablonski Airport in Nunica & you can see it on I96 on the west side as you make the curve by Nunica as you head toward Fruitport & Muskegon.
We got trees
instead of corn.
I still fly at the other field on occasion, but this one is more convienient, and has assembly tables and most important of all for us old farts, it has a working flush toilet in the hangar office we get to use
