freezing issue

so my computer seems to lock up after being on for a while. two days ago i was playing wow for like 2-3 hours, then got off and was watching tv on it (tv tuner). then the screen froze but the sound kept going, i could still hear tv like it was going. tried doing a hard shutdown and starting it but the POST never came. did it like 3 times before it POSTed, came up into windows for a minute and then froze again. yesterday i was playing wow for a while and then it locked up again, again the sound kept going, it didnt studder or anything. again when trying to start it again the lights came on but it didnt POST. sprayed the heatsink on the cpu and tried to get into the video card with compressed air. started it and tried to go into bios to lower cpu clock (2.66ghz @ 3ghz) and it locked up then.

so what does this sound like? video card overheating is what i'm thinking since the sound continues the cpu seems like it would still work.
