Not a bad idea, I'm honestly not sure if Vista will require a validation again or not. My thoughts say it won't and even if it does it'll go fine. I believe the OEM keys are tied to the motherboard and allow a certain amount of installation as long as that piece of hardware is present. Microsoft theory that when the motherboard is replaced its a "new" computer.
