I understood the website and wasn't missing the point, UY. I just think it goes deeper.

Following my temporary acceptance that these people just hated me because I was told so by our politicians and media, I've come to grips with a few things that to me seem a bit more rooted in reality; killing in the name of freedom is wrong, conquering and taking another countries resources in the name of freedom is wrong and forcefully spreading democracy to other countries when our democratic system is flawed and unchecked here at home...is wrong. I do not think that empirical expansion is noble and I do not think that it will go on without some sort of retaliation, regardless of what label a politician or media organization wants to put on it, in this case, terrorism and hate.

Western governments have been tinkering and meddling in that region since before the Middle East oil rush of the 1930's and it's time to let these people sort out their own problems and let global economics work themselves out without mobilizing troops. Will this happen? Not as long as they are sitting on the largest desired resource on the planet and western governments find the solution to their economic downturn in the form of expansion. War is based on the control of territory & resources and these middle eastern countries are rich with wealth and desired resources. If Kuwait was exporting broccoli would we have rushed to their aid? It's quite doubtful that we would have even though that war was also sold to the general public with the slogan of freedom and anthems of pride.

If they (radical Islam) want to kill me then let them come. I will defend my homeland, way of life and family just as they are defending theirs. I would expect nothing less from any patriot. However, I will not drink the 'kool-aid' theories served-up by politicians, propoganda websites and corporate media in their attempt to haul me aboard a bandwagon of fear & war that continues to drive our economy to the edge of depression and at the same time expand the current operations into Iran.

Sorry, I just don't buy it.
