When the boomslang was introduced it really was the most accurate mouse available. If I remember it was like 2200 dpi.
It was a hardcore mouse in my opinion. It was able to take a pretty good beating. I also took care of my mice but was also known to slam it a few times when I was pissed.

I only bought it once. Warranty on the first two within the the time and the last one I went nuts and wrote a hand letter claiming they had faulty crap. I took it as far as making good or I will goto the BBB. I really would have settled for my money back. They sent me a free replacement. I gave it up after the third failure then the buttons stuck on the sides. Went back to the Good'ol trusty 12 dollar mouse for 5+ years after that. Then last year I said I would give them one more shot. Within 2 months the mouse button failed. I sent them a letter and they cleared it up with a replacement. So far this one seems a little different almost like the first one already had problems.
Time will tell. When this one goes I will go back to my 12 dollar Microsoft mouseball.
I admit I complain alot but, I demand quality. When I don't get it, it pisses me off, especially when I am told I have to give that same quality when I work.. Funny thing is seems like I'm not aloud to make mistakes or errors but everyone else is.
Thats a whole other issue though.
Anyhow... In comparison... I know how much money I spent.. I don't see the quality, I've even gone out of my way to slam and crack up the old 12 dollar mouse and it still goes. I use the "gamers selected mouse" and use it for games and it doesnt stack up. I like the technology! Just wish they would use the same guts as the cheaper mice.
