I have read thru many threads already, and lots of good points have been made.. but I am curious if now that some of you have built your systems, what do you think.


I beleive I post before on the issues with my pc, and I have not been able to resolve them. So I am going to go with buying a new board and cpu and keep upgrading from there as I can till I get it running.


I know I will be getting the 6600 and will go with 1 8800GT, so I don't need SLI. I also have no need for raid or anything else. I am not sure if I will go with 2 2x2gb sticks of memory, since all I do is play video games and have no idea how to do half the stuff you all do, I would only be able to use what Windoze allows.. but that link one of you posted for Gskill si at $109, so even if I am wasting 1 gb, might come in handly later.. who knows.

Anyways.. just need a simple board that will handle the following:

4 sticks of memory
1 8800GT video card
1 X-Fi Sound card
1 6600 quad core cpu
1 HDD SATA 3
1 CD/DVD burner

I really don't have a need for floppys.. have not touched one in years.. so I think thats it.

any suggestions ?
