He had some extra cat5e (ok alot of extra lol) and he let me have some so I could run some ethernet in my 110 yr old house. Anywho got the wiring ran (though still have 2 box's to install but the wire is there). Called him to make sure what standard to wire the jacks 2 and he didnt even hesitate with the right answer
. Got the 1 wire I most desired finished and that would be the one running to my tv (xbox 360 to be exact) and IT WORKS woohoo. I did something right lol.
Anywho thanks smiley its working great and I have a ton of wire to return back to you lol.
I can say running of the wire I am glad is done. crawling around in a 2 foot crawlspace isnt easy to do especially when your running 4 seperate lines with almost no help. meaning I crawl into the space pull wire. crawl out to reattatch next section of wire to be pulled (used a hangar which makes it nice to pull through holes that are not easy to find
) and then crawl back in. Then I had to crawl in like a 10th time (yeah I forget to do some things which require me to make extra trips) to nail the wire up. Not code but eh it works for me
. so at least the hard parts done lol.
