You don't by any chance mean that I left out the part that anybody who dislikes Bush can't be all bad, do you?
Or did I leave out the implicit racism being fostered by the Sweetness and Light website? They chose to emphasize the Black self-help social programs of the church. I chose to emphasize the Christian orientation of the church, which "scary" seemed to be ignoring.
The points emphasized by Sweetness and Light are old news. JFK was touted to be under the thumb of the Catholic Church. Mitt Romney was likewise forced to give his "Mormon" speech. Here Obama is being attacked for his religious affiliation. Kennedy left his religion at home and I think both Romney and Obama would do the same...which is more than can be said for Reagan, Bush, and Bush.
If these guys were running for Pope or Southern Baptist Big Kahauna, their religion might be of interest. However, they aren't.
Agree with his politics or not, Obama isn't stupid and he knows that if he is elected his "blackness" will be under a microscope by both whites and blacks...and he'll be damned if he does and damned if he doesn't by racists of all colors.
