g-ame is great, have hardly found lag even playing with international people. [ im east coast usa]
Yeah it's best to unlock a few advanced vehicles before goign online , the game does handicap different player/vehicle classes when they play together, but some people out there are only about pwnage, and will play with the biggest advantage they can. Anyone who chooses rainbow bridge , for example is to be afeared :P
