Heh, fun music Cake is but you need to sit back and pay attention to the lyrics. For a college band their simpler lyrics can run pretty deep.

Not so much desperate dudio, just what it's like when both parts of the relationship are packing a lot of baggage.

"I don't want to doubt you
Know everything about you
I don't want to sit across the table from you
Wishing I could run"

You always want it to be "the one" but yeah once bitten...

Jeff Buckley-forget Her

While this time's busy sleeping,
All the noise has died away.
I walk the streets to stop my weeping,
She'll never change her ways.

Don't fool yourself, she was heartache from the moment that you met her.
And my heart is frozen still as I try to find the will to forget her, somehow.
She's somewhere out there now.

Her love is a rose, pale and dying.
Dropping her petals in land unknown
All full of wine, the world before her, was sober with no place to go.

Don't fool yourself, she was heartache from the moment that you met her.
My heart is frozen still as I try to find the will to forget her, somehow.
She's somewhere out there now.

Guitar Solo

Well my tears fall down as I try to forget,
Her love was a joke from the day that we met.
All of the words, all of her men,
all of my pain when I think back to when.

Remember her hair as it shone in the sun,
the smell of the bed when I knew what she'd done.
Tell myself over and over you won't ever need her again.

But don't fool yourself,
she was heartache from the moment that you met her.
My heart is frozen still as I try to find the will to forget her, somehow.
She's out there somewhere now.

Oh She was heartache from the day that I first met her.
My heart is frozen still as I try to find the will to forget you, somehow.
Cause I know you're somewhere out there right now

The Bastard Fairies
Memento Mori
The Greatest Love Song

All I need is a catheter and lobotomy
Everything will be clean and clear and clutter-free
Take my hand and we'll go off to the promised land
Tip-toe through the tulips, vacancy is so grand

It's a union made in heaven
Everyone will attend a reception
Consummate with no conception
Our world will be perfection

I'll have a hysterectomy
And we'll live our lives problem-free
No need to think independently
Your vasectomy will make our world complete

It's a union made in heaven
Everyone will attend a reception
Consummate with no conception
Our world will be perfection

We'll talk alike, we'll act alike
We'll never fight
We'll eat the same, dress the same
We are the same

Proverbial monogomy
Ménage Ã* trois - that's not for me
We two are one, it's not for some
But it's all that I need

It's a union made in heaven
Everyone will attend a reception
Consummate with no conception
Our world will be perfection

It's the greatest love song
It's the greatest, greatest love song

Grabbed it earlier today, went to the "city" today after work. It is very unique compared to their last albums. To me its much better than Deadwing, in fact so far I would say its near one of their best works. Anesthetize was rather shocking, closest I could ever imagine Porcupine Tree coming to death metal. I am loving Sentimental and My Ashes, and Fear of a Blank Planet (title track) is very good also. Way Out of Here and Sleep Together are very good also. Great album.

Not exactly in the same format as the others... but what the heck. The following is a video from The Bastard Fairies of their song Exoskeleton. From my knowledge its not on any album yet, or maybe its on the one just released to stores (I only have the download, which they released themselves..... so get it..... legally too!). Not really a "music video" but I guess you'll find out by watching.

The above worked in preview! Anyway here is the link...
