My 9yr old son and his 12yr old friend decided it would be a good idea to use my recently deceased fathers credit card to order a subscription to some penguin game...2 weeks ago!!! My daughter told me about it on Sat. when she found out...
So, my 9yr old has already commited credit card fraud !!!
Luckily that penguin game company was understanding and decided to credit the card and ban him from the free version of the game...
What i dont understand is I called them the week this happened ( before they charged it) and canceled the cards because he had just died...Is there a grace period or something ? You think I should call the credit card company and explain or just forget about it ?
And yes my son is severely grounded !!!!!

Grounded and having to stand most of the time because it hurts to sit I feel your pain when it comes to cancelling cards I have 1 that I have been trying to cancel for 4 years, but they keep sending me cards. Then I was told it could only be cancelled in writing. So I would check with the card company to make sure that it actually did get cancelled and ask them if there is any sort of grace period to make sure all charges clear.

Credit card companies take apps that were ripped up and tape back together and send out the card. Some guy even filled out a form saying Save Trees, dont send me this and they sent him a card in the name of Mr. Save Trees to his address. I'm not surprised that they never canceled the account like you asked, they do not care when it comes to trying to make money.

I figured if they didn't close it this time I would drive to Kansas and visit them in person, only an hour drive
