Smiley, the Special forces guys are the only ones who have the det packs. They can blow up the radar and command center for the other team as well as take out vehicles with the det packs. Also they get a few more grenades than other players.
Once you place a claymore click on your right mouse button to hold the detonator.
Yes, there is a "I need more ammo" request in the voice commands.
Above the support guys head there should be a little box with lines in it (like a pack of bullets). Unfortunately I have found that very few people play as a support person.
If you make a squad you can request a supply drop from your commander.
