I think that the reset would be fun, Ok could I get opinions on some of these changes?
Ports - Lets increase the Amounts of Ports, The rate Ports degenerate and regenerate - and the value of the ports ( Overall this will make trading alot more profitable and make there be a reason to take hulls over 28, better late game to burn turns and turn a profit )
Colonists - Can we increase the rate at which colonists make babies? It seemed planet reproduction was just a little to slow.
Planets - This is what really seems like the better Idea for me, so here we go, the about of colonists on the planets, I believe that the planets come with 3 things pertaining to colonists
1.) Beggining max on Colonists - Possibly Shifting this significantly down so smaller planets have alot less colonists
2.) The amount of colonists that increase per tech level, make this significantly higher, so that maybe after level 20 tech, the higher you take that planet, the more colonists its gonna have, instead of keeping those low level planets at 14 or 16 to just make money without investing alot in them. This should offset the planets having no interest building, but increase the colonists by alot, and letting them make the money. Also this will make planets alot more valuable, with the extra trading routes so that late game with have lots different things to do - either take planets and keep cause of true value, or runnings trade routes to upgrade planets to let planets make more money.
3.) Its late and I forgot or think I covered it!
Alliances - I think it should be 2 or 3 like soul said, that should be better, or maybe even try a no alliance system, if alliances are on please remember this - * THE ALLIANCE BOUNTY SYSTEM GOES BY THE HIGHEST SCORE IN THE ALLIANCE * - hehehe not complaining just want people to know so they know what they are doing when they ally with a much stronger person.
This is personal opinion, cutting the amount of debris in the universe in half?
In conclusion :
Trade routes will be same for the begginning which is great! Lower trade routes in begginingg - in middle game, they are at middle compacity, and late game at max compacity, will make trading worth while and bigger hulls more profitable - also makes mine fields a MUCH bigger threat
Planets, The planets will be initially significantly weaker at early tech levels of 14 16 ish, so planet builders like myself, wont get that big boost in planets early game, that means that trading will be more profitable, youll be having a homebase sector, so you can concentrade defenses in the sector to keep you r self secure, makes trading early game boss , and mid game as well, and keeps planet dominators like myke at bay for early/mid game. As late game comes, we get stronger planets, which make more money, and has higher tech levels which affect the sector defenses, makeing your sectors less prone to attack, yettttt not completely safe, as more money in the game, is gonna = better razorbacks and voyagers late games, so tech planets and increaseing your sector defenses will be the key to survival and conquest!

*EDIT* I noticed looking at the settings, the igb interest increase every 1440 minutes, we should def take that down to like 5 or 10 mins, so the banks can make SOME money
*additional edit* I think nova bombs success rate should be raised to 100,000,000 billion with a 80 to 90% chance of success
Also, Mine Deflectors, We need to raise the prices of these most precious items! I believe there at 100 now. and that is just toooo cheap, for something taht will keep you protected from mine fields, thinking it over i believe 2000 would be a better price, so 10,000,000 million minedeflectors = 20 billion, late game, 20 billion hurts, but isnt completely devestating, i think this is fair.
