Battlefield 2 Booster Packs and New Patch Details

It's $$$trange to see 4 different versions of BF2 in less than 1 year.

I agree.. 4 is nuts, and I will make do with
the SF I bought and never play.
They are making money on the servers, and they're
grabbing at what used to be considered just a patch.
As long as people literally keep 'buying' in to this practice,
you can bet you'll see more of it in the future

yup exactly why I am not buying the expansion packs. well that and im getting bored of bf2 as it is so why buy something extra for something im getting bored of?

as long as people continue to fall for crapass marketing of MP3 player that has suddenly become a fashion accessory and continue to buy iPods and that alarm clock that you can 'dock' your iPod onto for $300, apple will continue to sell the only thing they have going for them.

As long as users continue to 'pay' for M$ products to make their computer work 'easier' there will always be viruses and M$ will always be blinging rich.


Point here is you can slap them and complain but its useless, you get no where, the ex packs and 'booster packs' will continue to come out and they will charge a small fee for what you feel *should* be in a patch. You are doing the right thing by not buying the patch if you see no value in it, that's fine.

Remember this game is produced by the largest game producer in the inducstry, just like apple's hold of the MP3 player market and just like M$'s hold in the Software market. In the end if consumers are too dumb or enjoy the products they are getting, the giant companies will continue to charge for it.

Yes, I like BF2 and if these booster packs look fun, I will drop $10 bucks on one. I have SF and I thought its fun, I think the night maps could've been implemented better, but I in no way feel ripped because I, me, myself, I decided to purchase something that wasn't *required* to play the game.

Its funny, many of the complaints act like this is "dividing" the community like Chem has said a few times, how do you figure? servers are full, they have been even after SF, they will be after these booster packs. Your original investment is still serving you if you are interested in the game.......


Look at it from this angle....

Those of us who have over 200 hours, think of how much you get paid per hour, mulitply that out, then go look at the reciept. $50 spent for those hours(terms of dollars) of entertainment.

Well yeah they like to suck our money but its like a mega patch i guess.
I normally get bored of playing a game after 6 months and then go onto a new one. Maybe this game will keep me playing for a full year or more because there will be more to do. Besides 10 bucks is like a months pocket change.

I'm all about new toys so... Let them make more Boosters... a few months gives me all the time I need to get all the awards... at least the ones I can get for time played.... keeps it fresh enough for me. Plus, considering I gave up Drinking 2 years ago this is the best way to spend all that extra cash
