Battlefield 2 Booster Packs and New Patch Details

2 New booster packs will be released here is the info i have found.

- There called Euro Force and Armor Fury.
- Euro Force will be released Feb 8th
- Armor Fury will be released March 28th

Info on European Force
- New army
- 3 new maps called "The Great wall of China" , "Operation Smoke Screen"and "Tarbara Quarry"
- New weapons called FNP90 and the Benelli Tactical Shotgun
- 4 new vehicles including a New Chopter.
- Cost 10 bucks

Info on Armor Fury
- Released March 28th
- Sadly no new Weapons
- 3 new maps called "Operation Road Rage', "Midnight Sun", "Operation Harvest"
- 2 new vehicle classes and they are Attack Jets and Recon Chopters.
- Cost 10 bucks

See heres the thing thats gonna be completely amazing with armor fury...Its gonna be HUGE BATTLES!...Not like these lil maps we've been playing on. Its gonna be a complete warfare on a 64 player game. So this mainly means were gonna need Blong to keep our tanks repaired.

- Fixed bug in TV guided missiles of Havoc helicopter
- Bug in MP7 fire rate fixed. Ammo count increased and mag count and damage decreased
- APC Update – “Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials”. This fix was a miscommunication to the patch team.

Hey the last one makes them more like real ones, the M203 requires 30 feet out of the barrel to arm, it has to do with the number of rotations the shell makes after it leaves the barrel. That way soldiers dont hurt themselves while shooting it

Some nice changes there

Those packs cost $10 too much and like SF expasion they are being released to close together. I mean to me the expansion is ok at best. I'd rather not have to spend another $20 for something that should be free to say sorry for that expansion they released.

considering the amount of crap I have paid for games like q4 and Halflife. I will be more then happy to spend 10 bucks on an expansion even if its a half ***-ed attempt to suck more money out of us.. I need more maps.. The sf amount of maps were lame... Got old much faster then the original bf2 maps...

Also coming....

Planet Battlefield: Will there be more ranks introduced? If so, can you please list a few.

Tom Galt: There are 10 new ranks being added, from Second Lieutenant all the way up the chain to General. However, these are being added in the next patch, not in the Booster Pack. So these new ranks will be available for free to all owners of BF2.

*IMO, General? How many....10,000,000 points? LOL.

They'll have to lower the 2nd Lt. requirement. I can't image having to play another year+ for that, and for nothing. Although I see there are gonna be 2 unlocks...sniper and AT...whoopie :P

I forsee a rank adjust similar to the last patch, where we unlocked like 3 ranks at once.

Its nice to see them adding stuff but:

1.) Both of those booster packs are what I would call a large sized patch. Charging money for such little additions is kinda ridiculous IMO.

2.) Once again this is dividing up the player base even more. I have a hard time believing these will be all over store shelves like a major expansion pack would.

Dice, IMO, would be MUCH better off holding off another two months on the latest launching Booster Pack and releasing these as one expansion pack at $20. More people would get them and it would allow Dice to capitilize on SF sales for a longer time.

They are going to run BF2 into the ground at this rate. All they see is $$$, they care nothing about fixing the game, as is pretty clear as they say the booster pack will be out in less than a month but no time frame is given about the patch. I'm just worried that their booster packs will make the game run worse because they are bound to be pretty poorly written because how fast they are coming out with this stuff. Chem I think this is going to be like a Steam kind of thing were you can get it direct from EA only via the EA Downloader. In December EA gave the Xbox Live users a free booster pack, so why can't the PC users get one.
