End of patches

End of Battlefield 2 Patches?

A post made on DigitalBattle states that Battlefield 2 does not have any more patches planned. Although no official announcement has been made this does seem to be the case. The ex-DICE employees mentioned were part of DICE Canada which was closed October 5th, 2006 when EA completed the takeover of DICE. They then went on to form Red Jade Studios.
According to ex-DICE employees, there are no more patches planned for the bug-filled multiplayer shooter Battlefield 2. The former DICE members, who now formed their own studio, said via a forum release that patch 1.4 (released last November)was the last BF2 patch, and that all forces at DICE are focused on Battlefield 2142, which is, unfortunately, just as bug filled as its predecessor. Gee, and I just got done buying both of those this past weekend even though I can't play either one online. Why would I do such a dumb thing? Why are there burn holes in my pockets?

I have had a great experience with BF2142 as opposed to BF2. I have not been the victim of any of the 2142 bugs... oh well
