Best deal on BF2 Supported Vid cards??

I Really need to upgrade on a budget. I would like to meet the specs for BF2. I am using the fix posted for unsupported card atm but would like to see the graphics.

On newegg.com they have great video cards that will support BF2 for under or around $200

The best deal you can get right now is a Geforce 6800. If you buy AGP you also may have a chance to unlock the pipelines (not always though will that work) which gives you a bit more performance. They can be found for about $180 brand new.

Second best deal is around $280 for a Radeon X800XL.

If you must go low budget though get yourself a Radeon 9800 Pro for around $120 brand new.

no joke don't buy a 128 meg card. I use the 9800 w/256 megs and the game runs fine. Some of that may be due to the 64 bit AMD I run

It wont make a difference. The 6800nu is still twice as fast as your 9800 128 or 256mb aside.

Memory means little to nothing if the card can not push the settings that would fill it up. And to fill up 256MB in most cases takes a card at X850/6800U levels, which the 6800nu is not at.

At $160 for a 6800nu it doesnt get better for price/performance except maybe a used 6800GT in the newegg refurb section, though I dont trust refurbed hardware for the most part.
