BF2 users and controls!!

Hey guys if you don't want to reset alll your controls you can copy your settings from the demo into the real game easily.

Just go to "My Documents"
Find the BF2 Demo folder
Drill down through profiles->001->Profiles.

Copy the contents of that into My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\001

And you'll be all set.

Also, looks like user names from the demo carried over to the full release, so if you want your tag in your name you will need to create an account with it already in your name. EA is trying filter the vulgar language this way!

OH YAH, I should add, Don't copy the profile.con if you are switching names and trying to move your controls over!!

I have decided to try and use the default controls.

I have never used ANYTHING ANYWHERE near the standard (ASWD) controls in any game ever. I think the tilde key for console is the only matching key for any game.

Man, after 10 years of the same layout it's hard to break old habits. But if this works then maybe I'll try it in other games. Overall it would prolly be best to use the designers layout.
