77.72 vs 71.89

On June 22nd nVidia put out a new driver: 77.72

I got it and installed it. Everything was ok until I decided to play some clips (WM) and realized that they were not playing well anymore. The image was all screwed up (very bad). Only clips captured with FRAPS were playing OK. So, I uninstalled and re-installed 77.72, same result.

I then uninstalled 77.72 and re-installed 71.89 (the driver I had before) and everything got back to normal (clips were now playin perfectly).

All de-installed were done with Drive Cleaner Pro (Chemi ).

Did someone experience the same thing with 77.72? Any idea?

My config:
P4 3.2E
1 G RAM
6800GT
ASUS MB

Common problem right now. Everyone seems to be having it with the new Nvidia drivers.

The only solution right now I can suggest is either dropping down to the 71.89s again (and running BF2 with dynamic shadows off) or trying to play videos in another media player and see what luck you get.

Hey BIC, I got a fix for you're problem.

Go into the drivers and on the little menu to the left choose "Color Correction", on that locate were it says "Apply color changes to:" and switch it to "All" then click Apply at the bottom. This should fix your problem.

At a forum I visit every driver release is an official stick for it and people post there problems or what they had fixed with them. I had the same issue and posted it and said you had it too, after awhile a few more posted and then a guy from Nvidia came on and posted the fix.
