Targeting ground targets is a bit difficult, but you can switch to bombs and your targeting system will track targets with a square or triangle depending on which plan you are flying. A good thing do even if you are out of bombs and haven't flown back to reload, is to toggle between bombs and missiles, using the bomb targeting to light up targets with your guns. I've gotten many kills this way because the opposition is driving a buggy or sitting in the turret of a tank, or straight up blown the vehicle up.

Give it a try, it really helps on the darker maps or maps with a lot of shadowing.

A joystick makes a huge improvment. Dont get some expensive one, just something decent like a Logitech Extreme 3D or something. Works well with the game.

Yes, flying with a stick is much better. I use a mouse for the choppers though.

The Logitch Extreme 3D Pro has become the standard by which all good pilots use and even us red Barron wanna be's

I am on my 3rd version of this joystick......

Or you just crash into a crowd of the enemy. I have had this happen to me many times now. They usually will take about 1-6 people out at a time. Usually around 3 on average. It makes a good explosion so it goes far.
