To advance to PFC: 500 total (+500)
To advance to Lance Corporal: 1000 total (+500)
To advance to Corporal: 11,000 total (+10,000)
To advance to Sergeant: 21,000 total (+10,000)
To advance to Staff Sergeant: 221,000 total (+200,000)
To advance to Gunnery Sergeant: 421,000 total (+200,000)
To advance to Master/First Sergeant: 4,421,000 total (+4,000,000)
To advance to Sergeant Major: 8,421,000 total (+4,000,000)
To advance to Master Gunnery Sergeant: 88,421,000 total (+80,000,000)
To advance to Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps: 168,421,000 total (+80,000,000)

I know people will make it. I saw a couple people that were bending the rules I guess and getting a high rank VERY quickly.

If you look at the ranks here:


Here is what they are doing:



They are playing Operation Clean Sweep and having a person jump into Helicopter blades for the kill. The one player that is on MEC has over 800 deaths and that is from jumping into the blades for the death and the kill/kill assist for the other players.

I jumped into the server and started shooting and then after I shot a couple times I was kicked and banned from the server.


That makes me mad that they are getting those high points from basically cheating. A couple of them have had 3500 point rounds. Just wrong. I try hard and my best round so far is 83.

I'm pretty sure it is global since there is more to being promoted than killin people. I was promoted right after a flag capture.

Also, sometimes you don't get the promotion right at the 1000 mark, it can vary by a few hundred.
