How the BF2 Awards Work..
Searching for something else related to BF2 I came across this little information that gives you an explanation of the hows, whats and whys to the ribbons, badges and medals for BF2..

LOL, now I don't feel so great about that purple heart I earned. The good thing is, I earned it my first or second round.

Well during the patch process, I got the purple heart (in which I now lost due to soemthing) but when I got it, I didnt die but saved our flag from 4 other players by planting a few c4 on the tank with 2 players in it with 2 others surrounding it. I blew it up while taking a serious health hit but managed to live while killing those 4.. Thus giving me the purple heart.. So far the that is the only information that I am seeing as not true.. I have seen many players with a K/D ratio of more than 1/4 and I have yet to see them earning that purple heart..

Well I tested out the theory and getting the purple heart just plain sucks.. I had kills at 5 with deaths at 22.. then i got my purple heart so the 1/4 ratio is correct.. grrrr i aint getting another purple heart if i can help it..
