Need some input...

Have any of you tried either of these shaving products?

Philips Norelco 7775X
Amazon.com: Philips Norelco 7775X Cool Skin Lotion Dispensing Shaver: Health & Personal Care

Philips Norelco 9160XL
Amazon.com: Philips Norelco 9160XL SmartTouch-XL Men's Shaver: Health & Personal Care

Both of those have high reviews and seem to be popular with the people that use them.

I am just in the market for trying to pick up an easy to use electric razer that does not cut the hell out of my neck / face with razer burn. I have a very
cheap Norelco electric razer right now that is not working for me. (Norelco 3405)

I have been having to use my Gillette Mach 3 razer to shave recently but I tend to cut myself (got to love uneven skin from acne or what not). It also takes way too much time for me to shave with a blade when I am pressed for time.

Do any of you have any preference to a specific type of electric razer that works well and does not give you a lot of razer burn? I am getting to the point now that shaving every 3+ days is a bit crazy since the hair is growing faster than before. Although I still look like a cancer patient... puberty where are you?

Thanks for the input guys.

I have never found an electric razor that I can say I liked. Having said that, I must also say that it has been years and years since I've owned one...altho I have used someone else's on various occasions over the years...didn't like theirs either.

For about the last year and a half I've been using the 5-blade Gillette Fusion (no battery) and I love it. I have nicked myself (only) a couple of times...both times I was a) hurrying and b) using a blade that was a couple of months old. You are most likely to nick yourself when using an old blade. One of the really good things about the Fusion blades is that they are designed so rinsing between the blades is easy...clogged blades are another source of nicks.

The Fusion blades are expensive, but they last me quite a while - I don't have a heavy beard. In about 1 1/2 yrs I have only had 10 blades - 8 of which have be used and discarded; the ninth is in the razor and the 10th is still unused.

Another solution would be to get a smaller face.

Exactly like me hex... I can't use an electric... it gives me a rash. I use the fusion also and I love it.

Dagger. Try washing your face real good first... the trick is to get the hairs soft. Either that or wet your face down and rub the shaving cream in for a good while. Unless of course your shaving after you shower... then u should be okay. Don't by cheap razors... use good ones. They won't cut your face up like the cheap ones do. Get with the lub strip on them...

I gave up on electric razors years ago. Hated the rashes, and they don't get the thin hairs that are mixed in with the thicker ones in your beard. I have been using the Fusion too now. No more nicks. I can only get the blades to last about a week before they stop cuttin well though. After that, they tear at the hairs, which cause me to get ingrown hairs. Another great razor is the Schick Quattro. It has little wires accross the blades to keep you from nicking yourself. My son uses that with his acne, and seems to be the best for him.

Also, remember to rinse the blades with the coldest water you can. It will cut down on the irritation.

Also, don't share a razor with your significant other... Who knows what parts of their bodies they are using the razor on!

I still can't accept the idea of trying 5 blades...feels like I should be shanking someone with one of them.

I must say, though, that I am a long time electric shaver user that started using razors last year...and honestly, I've gone back to the electric only a couple of times. Razor burn just blows.

First of all, stop sharing a razor with your wife............... Why are you using her SilkEffects razor anyway! Use a razor made for men....

And second, have you considered: Made for him
More guys are using makeup products
