New pBFG

No, it isn't in the same class as l'l Thug's BFG (see below), but at 265lbs it is a pretty BFG... especially after dragging the box on a dolly thru about 15' of gravel in the front yard to get it to the back yard (think runnaway truck turn-outs on mountain highways). The old grill is shown for comparison.

Man, you live on Area 51! I can see it in the backround of your BFG picture! Nice BFG btw. I imagined you'd have a big deck...

A big deck would be nice except for several logistic probs.

1. For wooden deck, the combination of snow in the wintertime and the heat+low humidity in the summertime makes for a real pain in the a$$ for maintenence.

2. While that looks like dirt in the background right behind the concrete and bricks, this is deceiving. In reality it is merely a little dirt on top of rock. Ok, that's a bit of exaggeration, however, for real, planting a tree or a rose bush...or setting posts in the ground for a fence or a deck requires a jackhammer; a shovel is a waste of time. When we 1st moved into the new house, 12 years or so ago, I borrowed a jackhammer from the contractors to do the planting. I don't have one now. More importantly, I have not yet recovered from that endeavor - I figure in another 50 or 60 years I will have regained sufficient energy to attempt digging more holes.

3. Yup Area 51. So...when the aliens land in the back yard, a wooden deck just isn't strong enough to support the weight of their craft. Also, the radiation from their power drives does very weird things to any landscaping in the backyard...not to mention the coyotes, lizzerds, killer rabbits, and quail.

****

The trees you see in the neighbor's back yard were planted by illegal Mayans and Aztecs, who used the rock they removed to build a pyramid for human sacrifices.

Now all I have to do is catch a Texas fish to bring back to grill on it.

The airlines don't consider things that smell like fish to be WMDs, do they?

That sounds like a 'yes.'

...so...the cute blond I was sitting next to yesterday was a terrorist!

Good plan tho, Tinkle. Can I borrow a lawn chair? I brought enough weather balloons and helium w/ me but a lawn chair wouldn't fit in my backpack.
