Ni hao from Shanghai, China...
Ni hao from Shanghai, China
Flight was long and uneventful. (I splurged and flew business class that was SWEET !!)
Here's a quick shot of the view from my hotel room:
I'll try and post a few more pictures later this week. The building under construction on the right side of the photo in the background is slated to become the tallest building in the world. It is currently under construction 365X24X7 (most of the construction of the large buildings here in Shanghai uses such a schedule)
I will also mention that I was out an about hitting up some tourists sites today and I purchased (from a somewaht reputable looking street seller) 4 Rolex watches for 75RMB !!! That's right 4 G E N U I N E Rolex watches for 75RMB (about $10.00 US).
Am I a bargain hunter or what
LOL

I can't believe you would take advantage of a poor street seller like that. It's no wonder they have such a low opinion of us.
Nice picture.
Alas, I am without the blessing of the glow that is green. I feel a true emptiness.

You must be staying at the Windham or the Sheraton, based on the view. I can see the TV tower in the distance. Last time I was there I stayed on the pedestrian mall at the Sofitel. Did you get the Rolexs on the Bund? That is where I got the 18 that I brought back last time.
Here is the post I made almost 2 years ago along with some of the pictures I took:
Hello to all from Shanghai China
I'll be going back, maybe, at the end of September. Leave some cheap Rolexs for me!
