I just reinstalled UT3. I had to replace my primary OS drive due to it being defective and finally got the RMA from Western Digital.

I just checked the server and no one was on it.

I should be able to make it to practices now that I have the game installed again and updated. It was kind of a pain to game prior since the PC would sometimes stutter or act sluggish due to getting hung up on crap from the hard drive.

Soapy and I were on the UT3 server until about 10:15pm PDT or so last Tuesday.

Sorry I haven't been around the forums here much lately. Been working on the MapManager program -- every time I think it's about ready to release, I find another something or another to fix. grrrr I've also been spending some time in the Epic UT3 forums...helping out there and getting a bunch of new maps, characters, and utilities for the UT3 server.

Bah, I can't believe I might have to break down and buy stupid UT3 and go through all that upgrade BS for a game that isn't any better than 2k4.

We have a UT2k4 server too UY.....Matter of fact you will find more folks playing UT2k4 then UT3. It's sometimes hard finding a server with players on it with UT3 unfortunately...

Soapy and I would argue that point. I'm not sure that I can say our argument would be anything other than (because we both have upgraded more than minimally) it is a LOT better looking and after all the years of playing the 2K4 maps we were bored and the new maps are a welcome change. Even the remakes of the old maps seem fresh, albeit familar.

For me another part of the appeal is figuring out how to get the new game working decently. I've enjoyed hassling with configuring and so on each of the new games since Unreal. Hawk, OTOH, is of the opinion that the new games should emulate his Clan Leader and be perfect out of the box (pun intended).

I got a P4 3.2 with 1 Gb of sys ram and a GF 6800.

What do I need to change/add for UT3?
