Algae?

Where does it come from?

My freshwater tank has developed this damn near overnight! WTH! Clear one day and the next - so green you cant see anything in the tank.

I've added some algae destroyer stuff to the tank. I'd do a water change but I don't have the strength for anything tonight

k is your tank located near a window or in direct contact with the sun from some window in another room?

also is it green water or is it actually hair algae?

Nope blong. It's in the middle of the room and the shades are always closed in that room (better to see the monitor).

I dont leave the light on much. (Fish need to sleep too) :P

And it is green water.

Perhaps I should just break the tank down and start again rather than do a water change. I think I can put the fish in the toilet while I work
