Aww I don't think I cheated!! It's an obvious Photo-manip Or maybe not so obvious since sometimes people don't notice the picture on the TV at first lol

The clouds are really a neat catch but I love Grandma's house. It would make a really cool poster or one of those pics where you're supposed to study it intently then a ghost comes on and screams really loud. Incidentally, I vote that the TV photoshop is not cheating.

I also like the shopping pic as well, the alternating dark/light tile floor and the faced shelves are just made for black and white! (Also, the "Fact or Crap" box really lightens the mood. )

Thanks again for the comments! Frag4u it's not my kid, it's my cousin's. So I guess that would make him my second cousin?

And Skidz those black and white ones are from the trick you taught me looooooong ago on how to take out redness in a face hehehe. I wish there was a way to get that effect in a picture without taking a screen shot. Well I'm sure there is, I just haven't figured it out yet!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. Since working at Olan Mills, I haven't even taken any pics at home.

Laura, You never cease to amaze me. I thought number 2 was hilarious as the propshots helocopter is being used as a prop. A play on words and it works. It took two looks at number three before i realized the neverending emage of the image of the image (etc..) in the tv. Very creative, yet there is a flash spot on the tv screen. I love number 4. You know how I am about angles! Why thte hell can't I get cloud/sky pics like yours? Is that photoshopped?

Is number 8 photoshopped?

LOL. I juast realized number 9 is sideways.

I'd say number 10 is on of your best macro shots I have seen coming from you. Perfection.

Numbers 12 and 13 are really interesting. 13 is almost scary looking.

14 is also good, expeically if the image in the eyes show up as well as you say.

Just my two cents (can't afford anything more than that)

Job at Olan Mills is coming along. I have my Associate photographer certification on the wall at work. I take all the pictures and the manager works the desk, sales and phones. I do that too when I work alone. The sharp rise in gas prices is killing us though. Before katrina I was able to pull in about 2k a week for the company, now I am lucky to break $1,500. Bad time for my company to raise prices per pose by 10 bucks. LOL

Hey Hakko - good to see you posting!

Thanks for the nice comments! The only photoshopping on the cloud picture is a very upped contrast and minor color tweaking to make it "pop" like it did when I saw it with my eyes.

And it's funny about the flash spot on the TV in the Grandma's House Photoshop - I didn't use flash to take the picture lol. I actually added that flash because without it, I thought the picture looked REALLY cheesy and the TV screen looked "flat". I may have over done it w/ the lens flare but I needed to do something to make it look a little better.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics this time around. Please take some pictures in your leisure time when ever you get it! It's been way too long since I've seen some Hakko pictures. I don't know about the legality of it, but maybe you can post some work pictures if you get permission. I think if you told them it may be used for portfolio purposes they wouldn't mind?

Take care and don't work TOOOOO hard

oh and yes - "Tomato Bug" is a major photoshop. i took probably 100 shots of these ugly tomatoes from our garden. the last ones to grow are always nasty looking but make for interesting macros.

I went from this:

To this:

And that spawned the tomato bug idea.
