mega upload

I realized it's been a long while since I updated my photo journal. So I rounded up some of the stuff I've taken lately and here we are. There's a lot but they're fairly small pictures, so hopefully they'll all load for you.

1. Going Home

2. Propshots

3. Grandma's House

4. Shopping

5. Cloudies

6. Macabre I

7. Macabre II

8. Tomato Bug

9. Snårl

10. Welcome Back Frogger

11. Leaf Panels

12. Crunch!

13. Hmpf

14. Gamma

15. Flaky

#12 and #13 originally were pictures taken with my infrared filter but this could have been done in Photoshop with a color photo. It's cheap, I know. I just liked the effect.

and #14 I like so much because in the BIG big version, you can clearly see my grandma in his eye because he was looking at her.

Great pics, especially 4, 10, and 13.

do you know how to get that infrared look with PS? I've been meaning to figure that out but keep on forgetting.

Good stuff!

I know how to get a look that has an infrared FEEL, and then you can push and pull some things to make it look more like IR...

First open the pic. Look at your layers palette and click the "Channels" tab at the top. At the top right of that window, you'll see a little circle with a triangle in it. Click it and on that menu click "Split channels". Close all of them except the Red channel (the one that looks the most like infrared) and violá! Now play with Curves and contrast and whatever else you want. That's the best way I know how to make a picture look infrared in Photoshop.

OMG, #3 Grandma's House is awesome, the picture in the tv is just great. It makes the whole almost disurbing.

When I made that picture black and white and upped the contrast, the TV screen was almost completely white. I thought instead of having this big blank white space, why not make use of it. So I just shrank the picture on each screen until you couldn't see it anymore... and the rest of the picture has an overlayed vertical blur cuz I wanted everything to look kinda dreamy/nightmarish. And then I just added a lens flare to the screen to make it look less flat.

I've been wanting to do something else with it... I thought maybe a figure standing in the hallway on the TV screen version (like a ghost yanno). Or some blood dripping somewhere. Just to give it something else I guess.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Varm I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Do you see the pictures if you go to my FoS gallery? Try looking here: http://www.fragonsight.com/album_per...php?user_id=16
