Just got back from Sierra Vista this week so I thought I'd share a few pics. Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

The guy with the animals was making a living off of them. He didn't mind the photo at all. Funny thing was he sounded just like Jeff Foxworthy. LOL.

The panoramic is 15 shots that I freehanded because I forgot to carry my tripod up there! I was pissed but I wasn't going back for it. I stitched it with my cameras software and them touched up the seams in shop.

Laura..yes that's my girl. She had just woken up and she had that distracted look I can never get. She always over smiles for me and I get a kid with closed eyes and a huge mouth. LOL.

I wish I could have gotten more shots of the town of Bisbee. It was beautiful but we had to sleepy kids with us and a crowded town so it was difficult to play photographer. I definitely felt like I got a little more out of my camera this time out though.

I thought the mesquite trees were just beautiful. I couldn't have taken 50 pics just of them. I shot something like 150 pics as it was though.

On a side note...I got the camera connector for my iPod. Awesome lil' tool. It was so nice to be able to empty my camera and not have to carry and extra card or 4 and also not need a laptop along.

I know what you mean about that sort of dazed look. Pictures of kids smiling and having fun are of course wonderful but it's nice to get something different once in a while. I got lucky the other day and had 2 kids looking in different directions w/ that face... but of course the background totally sucked and ruined the picture

What kind of camera do you use again Skidz? Whatever it is - it produces some good quality images! I keep forgetting iPods can be used for things other than music!! I really would like to get something like that. I don't think Chem would ever let me get an iPod though haha... I'd have to get the non-Apple alternative.

I have a canon Powershot G6.

As for the iPod...Apple is selling the hell out of them for a reason, they're simply the best at what they're made for. And chem knows I'm no MacHead. Although I've actually had evil Mac thoughts ever since I got the iPod. I just love the lil' devil!!!

I dunno if I'd get one for music at all really.
Listening to music on those things is like hearing needles fall on glass.
There's no bass at all it seems.
But it would be nice to back up my music.
Mainly I'd want them for the reason you mentioned tho.
Hmmm

the thing with the lack of bass on the ipod is that there's no way to boost it like you can with a sub. but really, the headphones are some of the best earplug type on the market, IMO

The sound of the music on the iPod has nothing to do with the iPod itself at all really. It's the quality at which you create the MP3's or if you download quality recordings in the first place. I don't really listen to it through headphones I use an FM modulator to replace CD's in my car. Quite honestly I can't tell the difference. The iPod has the loudest "amp" by far of any MP3 player that I have heard. Overall it's just more versatile than other "MP3 Players". Now, there are alot of other products coming along that will compete strongly with it in the future but in the short term it's still the best.
