Oct. 6 photodump

These are the most recent updates to my photojournal.

Foggy

Trees in the Fog

i don't like the holes in the ground in this one, but i think for a shooting-out-the-window-when-i'm-driving shot, it's not too bad

Buggies

Exaggerated Flowers

Tire Blowout

WHOOP ***

Praying Upside Down

Faking Autumn I

Faking Autumn II

Untitled

Jump!

I know she's cut off in the last one but I was trying for an artsy fartsy pic.

Good shots Laura. I was so pissed I didn't have my camera on my way to work this morning because I could have had some beautiful fog shots today. I really need to keep the thing with me but...then the wife misses the kid photo ops Oh well, I'll just have to get a second one sometime.

Where is that untitiled shot? Cool looking place.

You should check out a pocket cam or somethin Skidz... some of them are 8 mp with really good features and under $300

And the Untitled pic is in a little shelter at a park around here... it has a fire place... I bet it's really nice IN THE WINTER!!!!!! *crazy eyes*

I like that crouching figure in that setting though, we're gonna go back and do some poses. I think it should turn out pretty cool.

Faking Autumn II and Jump do it for me.. especillay jump...its just too damn bad that her hand and foot got cut out.. I think I could deal with the foot..but the hand..that was a cool pic though. The FAII bridge is neat and nice framing with the trees.

great photos

one thing about cutting the arm off on the Jump photo is it gives tension to the viewer, we don't know if there is someone there or she's leaning on a wall or if its just thin air. to me it gives the feeling she is going to fall. I think it does make the photo a little unbalalnced and heavy on that side which kinda adds to the feeling that she is falling. i like it.

thanks for comments guys

i wasn't going to put "Jump!" in there because of her being cut off, which personally i like, but i've showed a few other people and got really mixed reviews. but i ended up posting it here anyway to see what you guys thought and hehe, and i got about the same reaction. my cousin said he's ok with the hand beind cut off but not the feet, varm the opposite. i like that everyone has a different opinion about it, even if they don't like it

for me i liked it because of the off-centered subject (i think i center mine way too much) and she just looks happy, free, etc. she probably jumped off that little edge 20 times while i was watching her - she loved it. it was a stage to a big ampitheatre btw.

Oh and does anyone know what those orange bugs in my Buggies pic are? I had never seen them before. There were a ton of them on my neighbor's plant. The plant's name has the word 'milk' in it... like Milkweed maybe.
