This is neat guy that was a civil war reenactment.. I did a new treatment i've been reading about on his face.. while it is interesting.. I don't know if I'm there yet with it

i really like the detail like everyone else, but i'm just having trouble with this one. love the eyes, and kind of a neat effect on the skin, but i don't think it does it for me. the overall image seems kinda dark, which may be what you went for. just my opinion though.

however, i do really like the black and white!

ohhh much bettter! i had a feeling a little bit of lightening would really bring out the picture. that brought out the contrast in the dark hairs in his beard against all the white. nice

I actually just copied it to a new layer..set it to "screening"..and then just dialed it back to about 60% opacity..... That seems to me to be one of the better ways to lighten..much better than the brightness/contrast tools.
